Vineyard – Accommodating nearly 3,000 guests and 13 screens, including a state-of the art IMAX®  auditorium, the Larry H. Miller Megaplex will open as the first retail business at Geneva.

“This is an exciting time for our @geneva development. The Megaplex Theatres will be an economic mainstay for our retail area that will provide approximately 100 jobs and draw other businesses to the area,” said Stewart Park, @geneva Project Manager.

Construction workers broke ground May 2014 and on March 13 — less than nine months since work began—the Larry H. Miller Group will have opened the 18th theatre complex in the Megaplex chain.

“We are committed to excellence for our customers and strive to be the best place in town for guests to enjoy dinner and a movie with friends and family,” said Blake Andersen, president of Megaplex Theatres. ““We focus on giving back to the communities in which we do business, and look forward to getting involved with and being an integral partner to the community of Vineyard and Utah County.”

“This is just the start of the great work happening @geneva,” said Park “We have another 460-unit apartment complex by R2R ventures that is planned to begin this spring, 4Life is building a main distribution center and warehouse at the north end of our project and we are in discussions with other development groups interested in building on our site.”
Work continues on four other project at the former Geneva Steel site. The first section of the Utah Department of Transportation’s Vineyard Connector, from Geneva Road to Mill Road in Vineyard, is slated to open in spring and the next segment is scheduled to open once road crews connect Vineyard’s Main Street to the new road this summer. The Alloy Apartments, Edgewater Townhomes and Concord Apartments are now open for occupancy while construction moves forward at each location.

The @geneva project is a 1,700 acre master-planned community centrally located in Utah Valley and will provide a mixed-use of residential, commercial, educational and industrial. With direct access to freeway and mass transit, Geneva is projected to house 26,000 residents and create approximately 20,000 jobs.
